Product description
Cantina di Custoza was founded in 1968 as a cooperative of 83 winegrowers. In 1971, their first "Vintage" debuted, with a production of 10,000 hectolitres. Today, Cantina di Custoza has over 200 producers with a combined area of over 1,000 hectares, and its annual sales amount to 7 million bottles. The vineyards spread out on the southern slopes of the hills located southwest of Lake Garda. The climate there is mild, and the soil is composed mainly of limestone, gravel and sand. The most important lines of Cantina di Custoza wines are: The Classics, Val dei Molini, Biologic Line and Custodia Selection, a separate group is sparkling wines.
Cantina di Custoza Cordiasso, part of the Custodia Selection series, is made from Corvina and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from vineyards in the Moraine hills near Verona. It is aged in French oak barrels for 36 months.
Cordiasso is one of the hallmarks of the Veneto region, a wine with a rich and balanced palette in which notes of blackberries, cherries, raspberries and elderberries beautifully balance the delicate oak tannins and Mediterranean spices.
This wine goes great with grilled meats, game dishes and aged cheeses. Serve at 18-20ºC.
