Yellow Rose Distillery was founded in Houston, Texas in 2010. The brand was introduced two years later, with Yellow Rose Texas Rye Whiskey as the original release.
Yellow Rose brand consists of whiskeys distilled on site (Yellow Rose Outlaw Bourbon) and sourced whiskeys (Yellow Rose Texas Rye). Their Premium American Whiskey is a blend of sourced and distilled whiskies bottled at 80 proof (40% abv). Little is known about its formula, the company claims pretty high bourbon content and no addition of GNS (grain neutral spirit). The whiskey is recommended to be served on the rocks, especially on hot summer days.
Nose: light and fruity, apples, bananas, breakfast cereals, caramel, honey and hard candy.
Palate: sweet and light, vanilla, honey, maple syrup, cornflakes, baked apples and hints of hay.
Finish: not too long, with notes of honey, cereals and apples.
