Product description
Ballantine's is the second largest Scotch whisky in sales (after Johnnie Walker), with almost 80 million bottles sold annually.
It appeared around 1827, when George Ballantine opened his own shop and began to tentatively blend whiskies. Currently, the key malts in Balantine's formula are Miltonduff, Glenburgie and Glentauchers, but it was not until 2017 that they were offered as single malts for the first time in Ballantine's 190-year history. Glenburgie, built in 1810 as the Kilnflat Distillery, first distilled in 1829. Currently equipped with three pairs of stills, it produces 4.2 million liters of distillate per year. The 15-year-old whisky presented here comes from barrels of white American oak.
