In the fall of 2012 Johnnie Walker & Sons unveiled the first whiskies of its Johnnie Walker Explorers’ Club Collection, the series inspired by countless number of trips around the world of the company representatives.
Consequently Johnnie Walker is the best selling Scotch whisky in the world available in more than 180 countries. The original three expressions of the Explorers’ Club Collecton called The Route Series pay tribute to famous 19th Century trading routes:
§ The Spice Road – memorializes the famous trade route from Europe to Asia and is an evocative expression of the vibrancy, aromas and spices the Johnnie Walker agents would have discovered in markets around Asia;
§ The Gold Route – memorializes the trade route that starts from modern-day Belize then goes through Colombia, western Amazon region to southern Bolivia and northern Chile;
§ The Royal Route – memorializes the trade route that according to the small map on the box starts from Istanbul then goes through Turkey and Iran and ends at the western border of Pakistan.
