Product description
The Giffard brand was established in 1885 by Émile Giffard, the pharmacist and owner of pharmacy in Angers, who created the formula of Menthe-Pastille Liqueur.
Today his company remains family owned and is run by Bruno Giffard and his sister Edith, Émile’s great grandson and great granddaughter. The Giffard liqueurs and syrups collection is diverse and unique ranging from classic Cassis or Curaçao Triple Sec to modern inventions like Banane du Brèsil and Pamplemousse. The range’s crème de la crème, Premium Liquors, is a series of nine top-of-the-line liqueurs created for premium cocktails, especially short drinks, in which the liqueur becomes the principal component. The premium range highlights ingredients with unique origins and specific varieties that have celebrated aromas and flavors.
Giffard Framboise de Ronce is made with the slow maceration of tayberries (a crossing of raspberries and wild blackberries) enhanced by blackberries and raspberries for a unique aromatic signature. It is arguably the best Tayberry Liquor on the market, with a palate combing raspberry and blackberry sweetness with subtle tartness, fruit tannins and acidity. Giffard Framboise de Ronce scored gold medal at the 2017 International Spirit Competition. We recommend serving it neat or with a little crushed ice.
