Centenario began its foray into alcohol markets as Seagram of Costa Rica SA in the 1970s.
As a Costa Rican subsidiary of Seagram, it introduced the first rum under the Centenario brand in the 1980s. It took another two decades for the company to become independent and change its name to Centenario Internacional SA This happened in 2002 and soon began exporting Ron Centenario to the US, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Ron Centenario is currently present in over 20 countries and this number is constantly growing. The company is not only involved in the production and export of rum, it also represents a number of producers of other spirits, including gin, cognac, whiskey, wines, vodkas and liqueurs.
Centenario Real rum is a spirit matured in American bourbon barrels in the solera system. It consists of rums aged for 15 to 30 years. The most exquisite edition of all Centenario rums, a blend composed for the 30th anniversary of the brand. In its bouquet we find intense accents of red fruits, almonds, vanilla, chocolate and oak.
