Product description
Tomatin Distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands, in Inverness-shire. In the 1970s it was Scotland's largest malt distillery, producing 13 million litres of spirit per year.
In 1985 it went bankrupt and was taken over by Takara Shuzo and Okura & Co., which was the first investment of Japanese capital in the production of Scotch whisky. The Japanese reduced the production potential by more than half and began exporting whisky to Japan. Over the last decade, we have observed enormous activity in the field of brand promotion and building the company's offer. Tomatin 30 years old debuted in 2011, the whiskies used in this edition come from bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
