Product description
Longmorn Distillery, built in 1894 by John Duff, is owned by Chivas Bros, part of Pernod Ricard. Its name is a transcription of the Gaelic Lhanmorgund , meaning “holy seat.”
Longmorn produces around 4.5 million litres of spirit per year, the vast majority of which goes into the Chivas Regal 18 year old and Chivas Royal Salute blends . The Distiller's Choice, the distillery's latest offering, debuted in early 2016. It is blended from spirits aged in traditional hogsheads , bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry barrels. The bottles are labelled with stylish train ticket labels, a nod to the distillery's founder, John Duff, who built a private railway line connecting his Longmorn and Benriach distilleries.
