Mezan Rums is a collection of carefully selected rums manufactured in the Caribbean, in its broadest sense, including also Guyana, and bottled in the most natural form possible.
Mezan rums nearly always come from a single distillery, which makes them a perfect example of the distillery style for a given location. They never contain any additives, are not additionally sweetened, coloured or chill-filtered. They are always matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels.
Mezan Guyana 2005 is a rum manufactured in the Diamond Distillery, where it was distilled in an original, double wooden still. The still was originally installed in Port Pourant estate, then it was moved to Uitvlugt distillery and finally transferred to the Diamond Distillery. According to the bottler, its complex and well developed bouquet offers notes of tropical fruits, eucalyptus and paprika. On the palate – notes of ginger, guava, bananas and some oak and citrus on the finish.
