Tullibardine Distillery was built in 1949 on site of a brewery. In 1973 it was acquired by Invergordon Distillers, which increased the number of stills to four. Twenty years later Whyte & Mackay took over Invergordon’s operations and Tullibardine malt became important component of Whyte & Mackay blends. As a single malt Tullibardine has never gained big popularity, most of the distillery output was used for blending. The 10 years old expression was introduced in the 1970s, the one presented here was bottled in the late 1990s/early 2000s, when the distillery was owned by Whyte & Mackay.

Nose: light and malty, hay barn, forest floor, lemon peel, breakfast cereals, touch of vanilla and dried herbs.

Palate: grassy and malty, with delicate mineral notes, hay, herbal tea, lemon grass, cooked apples, vanilla, toffee and oak.

Finish: not too long, malty and grassy with touches of vanilla and oak.
