Chivas Regal Ultis / 40%

The name Ultis is a combination of the English "ultimate" and the Latin "fortis" and means "supreme strength". The whisky's formula lists five single malts symbolizing the five Chivas Regal buying masters responsible for the brand since its debut in 1909: Charles Howard, Charles Julian, Allan Baille, Jimmy Lang and its current custodian Colin Scott. Most of the distillates used in Ultis' creation came from first-fill bourbon barrels, and each of them imprinted its own mark on the palette of blends:

Tormore contributed rich orange and citrus notes;

Longmorn added vanilla and toffee and a slightly creamy texture;

Strathisla, the heart of Chivas, features compelling malt and fruit tones and a subtle sweetness;

Allt A'Bhainne provided a delicate spiciness and malt tones that give the blend subtlety and balance;

Braeval added freshness, floral, honey and leather notes to the whisky making its palette extremely harmonious and complex.
