With annual sales of 4.3 million cases, Beefeater ranks fourth in statistics of most popular gins (2018).

The brand debuted in 1876, since 2005 it has been in the portfolio of the French corporation Pernod Ricard. Beefeater 24 London Dry, the creation of Desmond Payne master distiller of Beefeater and undisputed pioneer of modern gin, presented here, debuted in October 2008. Work on the development of the formula lasted 18 months. The name gin refers to the period of maceration of botanical ingredients in spirit, which lasts 24 hours. In its formula, along with Beefeater's nine essential botanicals: juniper berries, lemon peel, Seville orange peel, almonds, coriander seeds, orris and licorice roots, angelica seeds and root, were grapefruit slices Japanese Sencha tea and Chinese green tea. (The father of James Burrough, creator of Beefeater gin, supplied tea to Queen Victoria's court, which inspired Desmond Payne).

Beefeater 24 offers slightly less intense juniper tones than the standard London Dry version, more citrus notes here (oranges, grapefruits and lemons) well balanced with green tea, a touch of coriander and juniper. Tastes live up to the aromatic promise of the. Best served in a Dry Martini with olive or tonic.
