Product description
Port Ellen Distillery ceased production in 1983 and in the late 1990s and early 2000s independent bottling companies had access to the distillery’s stock and flooded market with their bottlings.
Scott’s Selection was a reputable independent bottler owned by Speyside Distillery Company with Robert Scott, the company master distiller, at the helm. Whiskies included in the range were bottled at cask strength and without chill-filtration. The Scott’s Selection range was discontinued in 2014. Port Ellen 1982 Vintage was bottled in 2003, after 21 years of aging, certainly without chill-filtration and at natural strength of 60.5% abv.
