St Germain Elderflower Liqueur (France) / 20% / 0.7l
- St-Germain Liqueur was created by Robert Cooper, son of the owner of Jacquin et Cie, producer, distiller, manufacturer and importer of alcoholic beverages based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Product description
The drink debuted in 2006, introduced to the market by Cooper Spirit Company based in New York (in 2013 the company was taken over by Bacardi Ltd; Robert Cooper died three years later at the age of 39). St-Germain is produced from fresh white elderflowers macerated in grape spirit (the details of production remain a secret). Elderflowers are very delicate and require special care during transport (this is to preserve as much pollen as possible, which is of great importance for the taste of the final product). The liqueur is presented in unique bottles, each of which contains information about the year the flowers were harvested. St-Germain has won a number of prestigious awards and distinctions, including the "Chairman's Award" in the liqueur category at the Ultimate Spirit Challenge in 2010.
St-Germain has a strong, floral-fruity aromatic bouquet - roses, violets, hibiscus, lychee, grapefruit and fig jam. In taste similar palette, passion fruit, lychee, pink grapefruit and pineapple. We recommend serving with champagne, as well as gin and tonic.
