Product description
In 1885, a pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy in Angers, Émile Giffard, developed the formula for the Menthe-Pastille liqueur, which quickly conquered Europe.
The company he founded remains in the hands of the family to this day, managed by his great-great-grandchildren, siblings Bruno and Edith Giffard, and its commercial offer of liqueurs and bartender syrups includes over a hundred items. The gem among Giffard's products is the Premium Liqueurs series, consisting of only 9 items, produced with the use of ingredients of unique origin and specific varieties of fruit with very intense aromas and flavors appropriate for a given species. The company remains in close contact with the most creative bartenders in search of new flavor variants.
The Giffard Fleur de Sureau Sauvage Premium Liquor presented here is the result of maceration of hand-picked flowers and elderberries. In its rich palette we discover rose petals, grapes, lychee, a pinch of licorice and saffron. This liqueur won a gold medal at the Internationalen Spirituosen Wettbewer competition in 2014. Giffard recommends it as an ingredient in the May Flower cocktail (20ml Fleur de Sureau Sauvage, 5ml agave syrup, 20ml lemon juice and 30ml gin).
