Product description
The Giffard brand first appeared on the market in 1885 with the Menthe-Pastille liqueur, the formula of which was developed by the pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy in Angers, Émile Giffard.
Today, the company he founded is still in the family's hands and is managed by his great-great-grandchildren, siblings Bruno and Edith Giffard. Their collection of liqueurs and bartender syrups is as unique as it is diverse; we can find both the classic Cassis and Curaçao Triple Sec, as well as the very innovative Banane du Brèsil and Pamplemousse. To this day, the company's flagship product is Menthe-Pastille, the others are grouped into three categories: Premium, Specialty and syrups. In the Specialty category, we find classic liqueurs and fruit creams, the latter bottled with a lower alcohol content and higher sugar content.
The key to the high quality of Giffard's products is over 130 years of family tradition and experience in maceration of fresh fruits and herbs using new techniques most appropriate for a given variety.
Giffard Crème de Rose is created by maceration of rose buds and has a beautiful dark pink color with a terracotta tint. It offers rich floral notes (rose, of course) balanced with sweet spices. We serve it with champagne and a bouquet of roses after solving marital misunderstandings.
