Product description
In 1885, Émile Giffard, a pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy in Angers, developed the formula for Menthe-Pastille liqueur, which quickly gained recognition around the world.
The company he founded remains in the family hands to this day and is managed by his great-great-grandchildren, siblings Bruno and Edith Giffard, and its commercial offer of liqueurs and bartender syrups includes over a hundred items. Among them is a series of fruit creams bottled with a relatively low alcohol content and increased sugar content. The key to the high quality of Giffard's products is over 130 years of family tradition and experience in maceration of fresh fruit and herbs using new techniques most appropriate for a given variety. The company remains in close contact with the most creative bartenders and is constantly working on expanding the offer with new flavors.
Crème de Mûre is a traditional blackberry liqueur (the Loire Valley, where Giffard & Cie is based, is rich in these fruits) made from blackberry juice and extract. In addition to the strong aroma and taste of blackberries, its palette reveals notes of milk chocolate, rose water and a pinch of white pepper. Giffard recommends serving it in a cocktail with a dry sparkling wine with a touch of anise syrup and lemon juice.
