Product description
In 1885, a pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy in Angers, Émile Giffard, developed the formula for the Menthe-Pastille liqueur, which conquered Europe over the next few years.
The company he founded remains in the family's hands to this day, managed by his great-great-grandchildren, siblings Bruno and Edith Giffard, and its range of liqueurs and bartender syrups includes over a hundred items. The key to the high quality of Giffard's products is the over 130-year-old family tradition and experience in maceration of fresh fruit and herbs using new techniques most appropriate for a given variety. If this process lasts too short, we risk incomplete extraction of colours, aromas and flavours, if we extend it too much, we risk extracting substances from the skins and seeds that can negatively affect the final product. Of the entire Giffard line, the most interesting seems to us to be the Premium Liqueurs series, which has only nine items.
Giffard Banane du Bresil Liqueur is a gold medal winner in the World Spirit Competition in 2007. It is created by slow maceration of banana puree with the addition of banana distillate. In the palette banana in various forms, a pinch of vanilla and white pepper. We recommend serving with a bit of crushed ice.
