Mezcal Amores (known as Amaras in the US and Peru) is a brand founded in 2010. It places great emphasis on the brand's attachment to the region of its origin, maintaining the biological balance and ecology of agave cultivation. In 2017, Mezcal Amores made a commitment to plant ten agaves in place of every one cut down for mezcal production. Amores Espadin is a joven mezcal (bottled without maturing in barrels), made from the Espadin variety of agave. It is produced in San Juan del Rio in the Mexican state of Oaxaca and is the work of one of the 4 producers belonging to the Laajsh Doob (Agave Land) cooperative. Fermentation takes place in pine wood vats and distillation in traditional copper stills.
Aroma : Citrus notes, mainly bergamot, sweetness of cherry blossoms.
Taste: Notes of sandalwood and exotic fruits, mainly ripe mango.
Finish : Medium long, with notes of cinnamon.
