Product description
Johnnie Walker has led the Scotch whisky sales statistics for years, closing 2019 with sales of 18.4 million cases.
Maintaining this position requires a lot of marketing, and in the autumn of that year, Diageo, the owner of the Johnnie Walker brand, launched a broad advertising campaign called “Keep Walking”. It aims to draw a younger generation of whisky lovers into Johnnie Walker’s orbit with the message: “The most important step is your next step – keep walking”. The Black Label formula lists around 40 ingredients aged for no less than 12 years, the most important of which are Cardhu, Caol Ila, Glenlossie, Talisker and Clynelish. In 2020, the Walker company celebrated its 200th birthday.
Nose : slightly smoky, toffee, vanilla, buttered toast, raisins, dried plums and figs, notes of white pepper and toasted oak.
Palate: toffee, caramel, vanilla cream, dark chocolate, dried plums and cherries, allspice, roasted peanuts, traces of peat and oak.
Finish : quite long, with notes of caramel, mixed nuts, cocoa powder and a distant trace of smoke.
