Product description
Maison Régnard is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Burgundy. It was founded in 1860 by Zéphir Régnard and was in the hands of his family until 1984, when it was taken over by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, continuing the work of his predecessors and, with obvious continuous development, perpetuating the style and characteristics of this producer. From the beginning of its activity, the winery focused on quality wines, at the same time long-lived, able to develop perfectly in the bottle. According to the producer, many vineyards can make a good, young wine, but the true greatness and quality are only known after years.
It is worth adding that Maison Régnard produces wines in the most recognized appellations: Grands Crus of Chablis (Les Clos, Bougros, Blanchots, Grenouilles, Preuses, Valmur and Vaudésir), 5 main Premier Crus (Fourchaume, Montmains, Vaillons, Montée de Tonnerre and Mont de Milieu), Chablis, Petit Chablis and exceptional wines such as Pic Premier and Grand Régnard.
GRAND REGNARD CHABLIS
Wine made 100% from the Chardonnay grape variety in one of the most famous appellations in the world. It is a kind of calling card of the producer, excellent quality and care from the selection of the right grapes to closing the wine in the bottle can be felt here in every glass. Produced only in the best vintages. On the nose it is very elegant and composed, gracefully developing citrus aromas, with an accent of melon and impeccable minerality. On the palate it is very smooth, one could even say creamy, developing towards the flavors of almonds, citrus peels, a bit of dried fruit and floral accents. The finish is long and harmonious, with a well-marked citrus note.
It tastes best served at a temperature of 10-12 degrees. In culinary combinations, it works well with seafood, especially butter-fried shrimp, but also with fish and grilled white meats.
