Product description
Maison Gautier is one of the oldest producers of cognac. The family has been making eaux-de-vie since the 16th century and is famous for using barrels made from oak from the legendary Tronçais forest.
Over the following centuries, the Gautiers developed the business, and finally in 1755 they received an official document (Royal Warrant) from King Louis XV guaranteeing them a license to produce cognac. In 1995, Maison Gautier became part of Marie Bizard & Roger International, whose assets were taken over by the Belvedere Group in 2006. Gautier VS, the work of cellar master Isabelle Couprie, is a blend of eaux-de-vie distilled from grapes from the Fins Bois and Bons Bois districts, aged in damp warehouses for at least two and a half years. This cognac has won several prestigious medals and awards, the most recent (2021) being a gold medal awarded by the World Spirits Competition jurors.
