Product description
Frapin is one of the oldest producers of cognac – the first members of the family arrived to what we recognize today as a Cognac region in 1270.
21 generations of the Frapin family have been at first vine growers and then distillers and owners of 240 hectares of vineyards in Grande Champagne, where they cultivate Ugni Blanc variety. Fast forward, in 1885 Cognac Frapin scored its first international award at the International Exposition in New Orleans with hundreds more awards following throughout the 20th Century. In the recent decade there was not even one year without scoring a medal or prestigious award. Frapin 1270 is a tribute to the long history of the family. Distilled exclusively from grapes harvested from the family estate, it was aged for the first six months in new French oak barrels, then transferred into old casks for several years.
