- Benromach, the smallest commercial distillery in Speyside, sits on the outskirts of Forres.
Product description
The Benromach Distillery was established in 1898. It is the smallest commercial distillery in Speyside, although recent modernisation has increased its production capacity by 40% to 700,000 litres of distillate per year.
Since 1993, the distillery has been owned by Gordon & MacPhail, a leading independent distributor of whisky, which has significantly expanded its offering in the new century. Benromach Cask Strength debuted in April 2019, replacing the 10-year-old 100 Proof version. The Batch #01 presented here is a whisky distilled in 2013, aged exclusively in first-fill casks for around 10 years and bottled at 59.7% ABV, natural colour and without chill filtration in 2023.
