Product description
Ararat, the famous Armenian brandy, has been produced since 1887 – initially by Yerevan Brandy Co. and more recently by Ararat Brandy Co.
According to the current regulations, Ararat brandy can only be distilled from locally grown grape varieties, including Voskehta, Garan Dmak, Mskhali, Kangun and Rkatsiteli. Armenia has excellent conditions for growing grapes, with the best grapes coming from the Ararat Valley, which lies at the foot of the mountain with which it shares its name. In 1999, Pernod Ricard bought the Yerevan Brandy Company for $30 million. Recently, the company has significantly expanded its range of "flavored brandies," including the Ararat with the Taste of Cherry presented here, a combination of standard Ararat with the sweetness of black cherries. The drink is bottled at a "very consumable strength" of 30% abv. It is a very versatile drink, suitable for serving with ice or without any additions after dinner.
Ararat Cherry delivers on its promise, both aromatically and taste-wise, 100%. Intense notes of fresh, juicy cherries and cherry jam intertwine with the sweetness of sultanas, delicate notes of vanilla and, to a lesser extent, chocolate.
