- Maison Ferrand is the creation of Cognac luminary Alexandre Gabriel and one of the oldest vine-growing families in the Cognac region.
Product description
Maison Ferrand was founded in 1989 by Alexander Gabriel, a cognac luminary whose mission is to preserve traditional production methods while implementing new and efficient solutions.
Maison Ferrand is co-owner of the 247-acre Logis d'Angeac vineyard and has its own distillery in the heart of the Grande Champagne region, which has been in operation since 1776. Pierre Ferrand Réserve follows the ancient tradition of maturing cognacs in different types of wood. The cognac spent the first 7 to 10 years in small French oak barrels resting in seven warehouses, then was blended with a 20-year-old cognac. This blend was then subjected to a final maturation in Banylus fortified wine barrels for about a year. In 2022, the cognac won a double gold medal at the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco.
