Harmonium Rosso di Montalcino 2019 / 14% / 0.75l
- Harmonium Rosso di Montalcino made from 100% Sangiovese variety, sourced from the same plantings as the grapes used to make Brunello di Montalcino.
Product description
The history of the brand began in 2001, when Daniele Donnini wanted to create his own vineyard in the Montalcino region. The plantings spread out on the slopes of Val d'Orcia, with a very good exposure to the south-east and produce very good quality Sangiovese grapes. From the beginning of the brand, emphasis was placed on the high quality of the wines, as well as on the harmony between the character of the region and the owners' own interpretation.
Today, together with family members Taeko, Mayumi and Akira, Daniele produces five wine labels, led by Brunello di Montalcino. Despite their small production, they distribute their wines on three continents.
Montalcino's Red
A wine produced 100% from the Sangiovese variety, from the same plantings as the grapes used to make Brunello di Montalcino. The label is a perfect combination between the freshness and fruitiness of the young Rosso di Montalcino and the more complex and more structured Brunello. On the nose it is very balanced, despite the noticeable notes of ripe red fruits, cherries and plums, it also presents more complex aromas of oak and vanilla. On the palate it is round and harmonious, perfectly combining fruit flavors, with a touch of licorice, as well as soft, juicy tannins. The finish is long and intense, with a slightly mineral aftertaste.
It tastes best when served at a temperature of 16-18 degrees. Decanting is recommended before serving to ensure the right level of aeration of the wine, thanks to which it will have the opportunity to present all its qualities. In culinary combinations, it will work well with dishes based on red meats, delicate beef, or goulashes with a lot of vegetables.
