Château d'Esclans Rose 2021 / 13.5% / 0.75l
Product description
Château d'Esclans is a unique, beautifully situated place in Provence, whose origins date back to the Gauls, who watched the boats arriving in the Gulf of Fejus from there. A new era began when the estate was taken over in 2006 by Sacha Lichine. Born in Bordeaux, he completed his education in the USA, where he also worked as a sommelier and wine salesman for Caribbean Châteaux, a company that distributes its wines in the most luxurious hotels and resorts on over 18 islands. From the beginning of his activity, he saw the potential in rosé wines and devoted a lot of work to it, creating extraordinary labels that have gained recognition all over the world.
In 2019, LVMH acquired a 55% stake in Château d'Esclans, creating an unusual alliance and providing the estate's wines with international exposure and powerful marketing. Sacha continues to hold a 45% stake, developing the premium rosé category, creating a new chapter in the history of the winery.
Château d'Esclans Rose 2021 / 13.5% / 0.75l
Wine made from Grenache and Vermentino grapes. It shows versatility in its approach to production, with part of the wine fermented in stainless steel and another batch in barrels, which gives the wine multidimensionality and complexity. The nose is full of floral notes, accompanied by accents of red fruits and a bit of pear. On the palate it is dense and well-complex, with a noticeable texture and pleasant acidity, which emphasize the flavors of red berries, with a touch of strawberries and vanilla. The finish is long and pleasant, with a noticeable accent of a bit of herbs.
It tastes best served at a temperature of 9-11 degrees. Perfect as an aperitif, as well as for drinking alone, especially on warm, summer days. In culinary combinations, it will work well with light salads and appetizers, such as goose pate, and will also be suitable for poultry dishes in creamy sauces and light, fried fish.
