Product description
Wemyss is one of the noble families of the Lowlands, related to Lord Macduff, ruler of Fife.
The Wemyss family were not directly involved in whisky production or trade until the early 21st century, although they granted John Haig land to build the Cameron Bridge Distillery in 1824. Wemyss Malts was founded in 2005 and uses an unusual marketing strategy, naming the whiskies it bottles according to their aromatic and flavour profiles. Nectar Grove debuted in 2018, bottled at 46% abv. The whisky’s formula remains a secret; it is a blend of Highland single malts finished in Madeira casks.
