Product description
The huge success of the Arran single malt encouraged the owners not only to double the production capacity of the distillery, but also to build a new one.
Lagg Distillery began production in March 2019, and the original distillery changed its name to Lochranza. Arran single malt debuted in 1998 and established a strong market position over the next decade, while the Isle of Arran became a whisky mecca visited by over 100,000 whisky lovers each year. Distilled on 5 October 2011, this whisky spent over a decade in a 2011/1871 bourbon cask, previously used to mature a smoky whisky. Bottled at 55.2% abv for La Maison du Whisky in Paris in August 2022 as part of the Antipodes Collection in an edition of 224 bottles.
