Product description
Benromach is a small distillery based in Speyside, which, following expansion completed in 2016, has the capacity to produce 700,000 litres of distillate per year.
Since 1993, it has been owned by Gordon & MacPhail, which has offered many interesting editions over the past dozen or so years, including the first organic single malt. Benromach Organic is certified by the UK Soil Association, which means that it meets the agency's stringent requirements for barley, yeast, water source, distillation process, maturation in so-called "virgin barrels" and bottling. Benromach Organic, Peat Smoke and Triple Distilled currently make up the "Contrasts" series. The Organic presented here, distillation 2013, hit the market in 2022 after more than eight years of maturation, bottled at 46% abv. The edition consisted of 7,200 bottles.
