Product description
The producer has been present on the market since 1917, when it began producing rum on a large scale. Earlier, in 1770, the outline of today's enterprise was already visible on maps, in 1847 it took its final shape. In 1848, when slavery was abolished, the owners entered into a partnership with some of their slaves. In 1902, Homere Clement became involved in politics, becoming a member of parliament for Martinique, and in 1917 he built a distillery that operates under the same name to this day. After World War II, Clement rum became a brand recognized all over the world.
Today, the old distillery is a rum museum, and the company has moved to a new location. Thanks to this, Habitation Clement successfully combines tradition with modernity, showing its path to success and also introducing visitors to the techniques of rum production.
Clement Canne Bleue 2022 (Martinique) / 50% / 0.7l
Rum produced from the La Canne Bleue variety, which is characterized by blue reflections and has a very rich set of aromas. It is produced by distilling pure sugar cane juice. On the nose, this rum is full of aromas of fresh fruit, apricot, banana and a bit of spice. On the palate it is very lively with well-integrated alcohol and a wonderful combination of citrus flavors with notes of honey. The finish is long and pleasant, with a spicy and slightly salty accent.
This is the third edition of vintage rum, produced in small batches. Before bottling, the reduction process is quite slow and lasts 6 months. Perfect as an addition to various cocktails with a fresh characteristic.
