Product description
Amrut Distilleries Ltd is headquartered in Bangalore and produces approximately 50 million bottles of distilled spirits annually, mainly rum, brandy, gin, vodka and local blended whisky.
In addition to the distillation columns, the plant has one pair of small alembics capable of distilling about 200,000 liters of spirit per year. The single malt Amrut debuted in 2004 and is currently available in over twenty countries. The hot and humid climate accelerates maturation, but also increases the so-called Angel's share, up to 14% per year, which is why the whisky is usually aged for no longer than four years. Amrut Amalgam is the company's first proposal in the blended malt category. It is a blend of the single malt Amrut and single malts from Scotland and Asia. Unfortunately, the company has not disclosed information about the components.
