Product description
Rumy Plantation is the embodiment of the vision of entrepreneur Alexandre Gabriel, associated since 1989 with one of the prestigious cognac houses, Maison Ferrand.
His search for outlets for the financially declining Maison Ferrand took him to the Caribbean and Latin America. The sale of cognac barrels to rum producers was soon linked to rum purchases, the first attempts at blending, bottling and distribution. Today, Maison Ferrand is, in addition to the producer of Ferrand cognac and Citadelle gin, a significant selector, blender and distributor of rums from every corner of the world. As the producer himself says about himself, in this industry, careful maturation of the drink, attachment to tradition, diversity and double maturation count.
Plantation Rum Jamaica 2007 is a rum produced at the Clarendon Distillery in Jamaica. Year of distillation 2007, 11 years of tropical maturation in American white oak barrels, 3 years of continental maturation in Ferrand Cognac barrels, and finally a final maturation of 5 months in bourbon barrels from the Ironroot Republic Distillery in Texas.
