Product description
In 2016, Brown-Forman Corporation acquired BenRiach Distillery Company, including the BenRiach, GlenDronach and GlenGlassaugh distilleries.
Brown-Forman has previously tried and failed to acquire John Dewar & Sons (1998) and Glenmorangie plc (2004), outbid in the former by Bacardi Ltd, and in the latter by Moët Hennessy. Since March 2017, the female whisky legend Rachel Barrie has been the blender. So far, Barrie has followed in the footsteps of Billy Walker, offering a number of single casks. The BenRiach 1994 presented here was aged in a puncheon cask (no. 2057) ex-Oloroso sherry cask for 27 years. Bottled at cask strength (53% abv) in 2022 for La Maison du Whisky in Paris, in an edition of 660 bottles. (Note by Rachel Barrie.)
