Product description
The history of the brand began in 1905, when Abel Tesseron acquired an estate full of priceless old cognacs, which were his great passion. In addition, he always wanted to create his own eaux-de-vie compositions, which he now had a great opportunity to do. His next goal was to accumulate eaux-de-vie stocks, in two of his estates, one in Grande Champagne, the other in Petite Champagne. After Guy Tesseron joined his father, the company continued to develop and, thanks to Guy's business sense, also invested in new estates.
The year 2000 was a turning point for the family business, as Alfred and Gerard Tesseron decided to introduce a priceless collection to the market, under the banner of the first XO. Currently, the entire business is managed by Noe Tesseron, Alfred's son, who brought new energy and a new perspective on creating outstanding cognacs to the family estate.
Cognac Tesseron Lot No 90 XO Ovation / 40%/ 0.7l
This blend uses eaux-de-vie from the Fins Bois, Petite and Grande Champagne regions, each made from 100% Ugni Blanc grapes. It is fresh and lively, beautifully composed, aged for over 10 years in Limousin oak barrels.
It has a beautiful golden color, on the nose it is very aromatic, but elegant and structured, developing towards aromas of dried fruits and a bit of herbs. On the palate it is strong, but round and silky, as for a fairly young cognac. It presents flavors of pear and quince, combined with notes of nuts and vanilla. The finish is long and fresh, with a slightly spicy accent.
