Product description
In 1998, United Distillers, the previous incarnation of Diageo, introduced the Classic Malts series, featuring the six most representative whiskies from six regions of Scotland, produced (of course) by the group's distilleries.
Distillers Edition debuted 10 years later and showed a "new dimension" of classics. The whiskies contained in it, after the basic maturation period, "finished" in various types of casks, in the case of Talisker, a representative of the Scottish islands excluding Islay, these were Amoroso sherry casks. Until 2021, Distillers Edition was offered in vintage versions, a year later Diageo abandoned a similar practice. The edition presented here hit the market in 2022. Talisker is currently the eighth most popular single malt whisky, in 2021 it recorded sales of 3.3 million bottles.
