Product description
In 2000, privately held Murray McDavid purchased the idle Bruichladdich distillery for £6.5 million.
Production resumed the following year, and soon the owners began calling their whisky “The Laddie,” which customers definitely liked. The seventeen-year-old Laddie set out to conquer the world in 2002. For years hidden in bourbon barrels, now attractively dressed, it tempted with creamy sweetness, freshness, and even a slight spiciness… Over the years, our seventeen-year-old hasn’t aged a bit, it’s just become increasingly difficult to find.
Aroma: mild and fresh, apples, pears, bananas, coconut flakes, melon, vanilla, honey, caramel and nutmeg.
Taste: delicate, vanilla cream, milk fudge, walnuts, apple pie, juicy plums, sweet spices and a pinch of salt.
Finish: short and fresh, vanilla, sweetened lime juice, traces of oak and salt.
