Product description
For almost a decade, Port Ellen remained one of the most widely bottled single malts by independent bottlers.
At the end of the 20th century, brokers' stocks were full of Port Ellen barrels and dozens of editions were released each year, which sounds like a dream in today's reality. The whisky presented here, distilled in August 1980, was bottled by Signatory Vintage for the Italian company Velier Import in April 1997. Velier was founded in 1947 by the Chaix family and was involved in the import and distribution of alcoholic beverages. In 1983, Luca Gargano became one of the shareholders, who forced the company to change its offer to the most prestigious wines, champagnes and spirits. In 2017, Velier merged with the Parisian La Maison du Whisky.
