Product description
The producer has been present on the market since 1917, when it began producing rum on a large scale. Earlier, in 1770, the outline of today's enterprise was already visible on maps, in 1847 it took its final shape. In 1848, when slavery was abolished, the owners entered into a partnership with some of their slaves. In 1902, Homere Clement became involved in politics, becoming a member of parliament for Martinique, and in 1917 he built a distillery that operates under the same name to this day. After World War II, Clement rum became a brand recognized all over the world.
Today, the old distillery is a rum museum, and the company has moved to a new location. Thanks to this, Habitation Clement successfully combines tradition with modernity, showing its path to success and also introducing visitors to the techniques of rum production.
Clement Rum Tres Vieux Agricole, Single Batch Canne Bleue
Rum made from the juice of sugar cane of the Canne Bleue variety. It matured for 4 years and 9 months in one oak barrel. It is very intense on the nose, full of aromas of candied fruit, but also a bit of citrus freshness characteristic of this variety. On the palate it is strongly built, but gracefully combines the flavors of ripe fruit with accents of coffee and licorice. The finish is long and intense, with clear notes of oak and a noticeable salty aftertaste.
