Product description
Godet is a family-owned company, a renowned cognac producer based in La Rochelle, whose roots date back to 1782.
Around 200 years later, it was taken over by Grand Metropolitan, which merged with Guinness to form Diageo. In the 1990s, the family managed to buy the company back and now emphasizes that it has been producing cognac for 15 generations. Osokyé, the first single malt whisky from this distillery, is named after the farm in the Lorraine region where the family grows barley. The whisky is distilled in a small steel still, usually used for cognac distillation, and bottled in small batches. The Osokyé Series Nº4 presented here, after maturing in bourbon and cognac casks, was finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The edition consisted of 5,124 bottles.
