Product description
The Trois Rivieres estate in Martinique once belonged to the Sun King's minister of finance, Louis XIV.
Today it includes, among other things, a large sugar cane plantation and a rum factory. In accordance with the Martinique tradition, rum agricole is produced here, a spirit distilled from fresh sugar cane juice. It is produced in a rectifying column and, in most cases, matured in carefully selected oak barrels, primarily American bourbon barrels.
Trois Rivières Cannes Brûlées is a rum inspired by the ancient method of burning sugar cane just before harvesting, to remove the sharp edges of the leaves and any insects or reptiles that live among the cane. This allows for a rustic profile, light smoke and accents of leather.
Aroma: Sugar cane, citrus, herbal, roasted, wooden notes.
Taste : Sugar cane juice, smoke, burnt oak, citrus, spices.
Finish: Long, earthy, smoky, fruity.
