Product description
Craigellachie Distillery began operation in 1891 and its main task was to supply malt distillate for the White Horse blend, a creation of Peter Mackie, one of the distillery's owners.
In 1998, Bacardi Ltd bought the distillery from United Distillers along with the rights to Dewar's blends. Scott's Selection is a renowned line of single malt whiskies belonging to Speyside Distillery Company, the last edition of which hit the market in 2014. Robert Scott, the local master distiller, was responsible for the selection of distillates. The whisky was always offered in cask strength and without cold filtration. The Craigellachie 1982 presented here comes from hogshead casks and was bottled at 61.6% in 1998.
