Product description
A late 1990s edition of the Mariner intended for the American market.
The whisky was intended to fill the gap between the 12- and 17-year-old versions, and its name referred to the bourbon barrels that crossed the Atlantic to be used by Scottish producers to mature their whisky. Mariner was aged mainly in bourbon barrels with a small admixture of sherry barrels, and its label was changed several times, the last time in 2007. Bowmore editions from the last century are now highly sought after by collectors due to their extremely attractive presentation, the so-called screen printed label.
