Product description
Distillerie Grallet Dupic is located in the village of Rozelieures in Lorraine. The Grallet Dupic family has been growing cereals and mirabelle plums for five generations, from which they distill eau-de-vie.
Production of the whisky began in 2003, with the first single malt debuting four years later. It is distilled from locally grown barley (most of which is from its own fields) malted on site, and the company describes itself as the only distillery in France to produce whisky from “peated malt” (the peat is extracted about 5km from the farm). It is matured in French, American and Spanish oak barrels. After basic maturation, the whisky presented here was finished in a Tokay barrel and bottled at 46% abv in the “Whisky Fût Unique” series in an edition of 192 bottles.
