Product description
The Loch Lomond distillery was built in 1965 by the Littlemill Distillery Company, owned by the American Barton Brands.
This, perhaps the most unusual Scottish distillery, is equipped with one pair of traditional stills, two pairs of Lomond stills and a pair of continuous distillation columns. A similar configuration allows for the achievement of many aromatic and flavor profiles. The set presented here consists of three 12-year-old single malts, which are the company's core offering and is a great opportunity to learn the secrets of local whiskies. The names of the whiskies refer to the islands lying on Loch Lomond.
Loch Lomond Perfectly Balanced (46% abv) distilled in traditional pot stills and aged in three types of American oak barrels – bourbon, refill and re-charred;
Inchmoan Smoke & Spice (46% abv) a whisky distilled in traditional pot stills and Lomond stills from malted barley with some peat (Inchmoan means peaty island in Gaelic) and aged in American oak barrels;
Inchmurrin Fruity & Sweet (46% abv) is a whisky distilled in Lomond stills and aged in American oak barrels; its name refers to the largest island in Loch Lomond.
