Product description
Midleton Very Rare, the work of blender Barry Crockett, debuted in 1984 and was Ireland's first representative in the super premium blended whiskey segment. In the first edition, the master used just 32 barrels, mainly from the Old Midleton distillery, which closed in 1975. Midleton Very Rare is a blend of single pot still and single grain whiskey, with a predominance of the former, aged mainly in first-fill American oak barrels, and the vintage on the label refers to the year of release. The 1984 edition is one of the most collectible Irish whiskeys, as well as a whiskey with great historical value, its components come from a distillery that has been out of production for over 35 years, and today operates as a museum.
