The Tombacco family has been producing high-quality wines with a unique character for three generations. Throughout this time, the company has been constantly developing, creating new products that meet the demand on the domestic and foreign markets. Wanting to protect the family tradition and ensure sustainable management of the vineyards, they have decided to remain a small company, employing only 30 employees, who are guided in their work primarily by their passion and love for wine.
For over 100 years, since 1919, the form has remained primarily an agricultural holding, thanks to which they attach great importance to the protection of the land and natural resources, which has been confirmed by appropriate certificates. At the same time, they are constantly modernizing their farm, making it modern and thus responding to market demands.
Tombacco Aglianico del Beneventano 2021 / 14% / 0.75l
Wine made from 100% Aglianico variety, and the grapes used for production come from vineyards in the province of Benevento. After the vinification process, it matures partly in steel vats and partly in 500 liter oak barrels. On the nose it is very decisive, full of aromas of cherries and sour cherries, with vanilla and an accent of green leaves in the background. On the palate it is full and concentrated, perfectly combining the flavors of ripe fruit with a distinct, juicy tannin. The finish is long and intense, with notes of spices.
It tastes best served at a temperature of 16-18 degrees. Decanting is recommended before serving to ensure the wine has the optimal level of aeration, so that it can present its full strengths. In culinary combinations, it works well with roasted or grilled meats, as well as with expressive cheeses.
