Product description
With annual sales of 3.4 million cases, Beefeater ranks fourth in the statistics of the most popular gins (2019). The brand debuted in 1876, and since 2005 has been in the portfolio of the French corporation Pernod Ricard.
The Beefeater Blackberry London Gin presented here debuted in spring 2019 and is one of the latest versions of the brand. Its creator is Desmond Payne, Beefeater's master distiller since 1995 and an undisputed pioneer of modern gin. Alongside the classic ingredients of the Beefeater London Dry formula – juniper berries, lemon peel, Seville oranges, almonds, coriander seeds, orris and licorice roots, and angelica seeds and root – there is an essence of blackberries. Beefeater is one of the few leading gin brands still produced in London, specifically in Kennington.
Beefeater Blackberry London Gin combines the classic notes of London Dry gin, juniper, angelica and citrus, with an elegantly woven aftertaste of forest berries, especially blackberries. We recommend serving with a light tonic, e.g. Fever Tree Indian Tonic, preferably with a few blackberries and a slice of lime.
