With global annual sales of nearly 10.5 million cases (2019), Jim Beam leads the bourbon sales statistics (excluding Tennessee Whiskey), outselling its nearest rival, Evan Williams Bourbon, by a margin of more than 3:1.
In 2018, Jim Beam Distillers joined the sponsorship list of one of the leading MLB (Master League Baseball) teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers. Thus, Jim Beam bourbon became the official bourbon of the team. The press release reads: "Jim Beam has long been a favorite of LA Dodgers fans; now it will have its own bar at the stadium with a wide selection of cocktails made with it." The Dodgers team was founded in 1883; its first headquarters was in Brooklyn, in 1958 it moved to Los Angeles, and since 1962 it has played its home games at Dodgers Stadium. The team has won the league seven times, and Forbes estimates its value at $3.57 billion.
